Trooper Sanders has been working at the intersection of artificial intelligence, policy, and the public interest for nearly a decade. This includes serving a full term on the U.S. National Artificial Intelligence Advisory Committee, a body created by Congress to advise the President and White House on AI and American competitiveness and opportunity, where he co-chaired the workforce and opportunity working group. He has also led or advised efforts guiding AI's safe and responsible use in high assurance areas such as human services, employment, and the law. This builds on a career serving as a White House policy advisor in two administrations and creating and scaling global and domestic social impact initiatives across health, disaster resilience, economic advancement, and the role of business in development, in addition to currently serving on a number of nonprofit and industry boards and advisory councils. He is a life member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
